SynX Corporation and Image One Corporation are pleased to announce that they have begun a collaboration aimed at strengthening the provision of cybersecurity services for medical institutions.
Through this collaboration, ImageOne, which has a wealth of experience and a customer base in the medical field, and SynX, which develops cybersecurity services, will work together to strengthen a comprehensive security support system for medical institutions.
In recent years, ransomware attacks and unauthorized access incidents targeting medical institutions have occurred frequently both domestically and internationally, rapidly increasing the importance of cybersecurity measures aimed at ensuring the continuity of medical services and protecting patient information. With the advancement of medical digital transformation (DX), the use of electronic medical records, various medical information systems, and network-connected medical devices is progressing, but addressing the risks of medical service disruptions and information leaks due to cyberattacks has become a critical management issue.

Furthermore, while many medical institutions are required to comply with the “Guidelines for the Secure Management of Medical Information Systems” formulated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, many face challenges in adequately addressing issues such as ransomware countermeasures, the development of BCPs (Business Continuity Plans) that anticipate cyberattacks, the secure management of medical information systems including electronic medical records, and ensuring the cybersecurity of medical devices, due to a lack of specialized personnel and expertise.
In response to these challenges, ImageOne, which has extensive experience in supporting the introduction and operation of systems for medical institutions, and SynX, which provides vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security consulting, have partnered to support the strengthening of cybersecurity measures in medical institutions and the promotion of safe and secure medical DX.
