Spirent Communications, a provider of test and assurance solutions for next-generation devices and networks, and Juniper Networks (Juniper) have successfully completed the first public demonstration of Ultra Ethernet Transport (UET), achieving a significant milestone in the evolving Ultra Ethernet Consortium (UEC) ecosystem. The demonstration took place at Interop2025 Tokyo, where Spirent, Juniper and Spirent's long-time partner in Japan, Toyo Corporation, jointly generated and forwarded UET traffic in a production test network (ShowNet) utilizing Spirent B3 800G appliances and Juniper QFX 5240-64OD switches. The test topology also ran RoCEv2 traffic, demonstrating seamless coexistence and interoperability, and was jointly awarded the prestigious Interop ShowNet Special Award. The Juniper switches with 800G interfaces successfully recognized and forwarded all traffic types, proving their readiness for UET-based deployments.
