Nara Shimbun has launched a new digital signage content production business to help companies, stores, tourism facilities, temples, shrines, and public institutions create and manage digital information displays. The service began on September 16, 2026, and covers the process from content planning and production to equipment selection and ongoing operation.
The service supports static images, video, multilingual content, and interactive touchscreen displays. Organizations that already have signage equipment can also request content creation or updates without outsourcing the entire system. Nara Shimbun will additionally advise on display selection, installation, and maintenance based on the intended use, update frequency, budget, and available network environment.
The initiative builds on the newspaper publisher’s existing experience in producing digital signage for temple maps, artwork information, and video advertising. It also focuses on restructuring complex information into formats that are easier for visitors and customers to understand.

The launch shows how digital signage is playing a part in delivering local information. This is especially true in tourism in stores in transportation areas and in public buildings. Being able to speak languages and being able to interact is becoming more and more important. Organizations are looking for ways to share information, with people who come from different places.
