Japanese advertising agency SPEED EFFECT has adopted bgrass’s FairPass, an AI agent operating system designed to automate recruitment processes. The implementation targets routine tasks such as organizing candidate information, collecting documents, coordinating interview schedules, sending reminders, and preparing candidate notifications.
Before the deployment, SPEED EFFECT relied heavily on spreadsheets and manual processes. Its recruitment team reportedly spent around two to two-and-a-half hours per day on routine administrative work, including transferring applicant information and coordinating with interviewers. With FairPass, this operational workload was reduced to about 20 minutes per day, although the reported result also includes a period during which bgrass provided operational support.
The system is configured around both new-graduate and mid-career recruitment workflows. Rather than simply managing recruitment data, its AI agents can take actions across multiple stages of the hiring process. bgrass engineers also continue to support operations and refine the AI when exceptions or judgment-based situations arise.

The deployment shows a change in HR technology, toward agentic AI, where systems go past helping recruiters to doing repetitive tasks. For recruitment teams this could give time for candidate engagement, sourcing strategies and hiring decisions while cutting back on manual administrative work.
