Aerosense Inc., which provides various solutions through its domestically developed industrial drones and cloud services, is pleased to announce that its post-processing kinematic positioning drone, Aerobo PPK (AS-MC03-PPKHL), has become the first drone to obtain the ★1 (Level 1) compliance label under the Security Requirements Compliance Assessment and Labeling System (JC-STAR: Labeling Scheme based on Japan Cyber-Security Technical Assessment Requirements).
JC-STAR is a Japanese system that verifies and visualizes compliance with uniquely defined compliance requirements (security technical requirements) for IoT products, while harmonizing with domestic and international standards such as ETSI EN 303 645 and NISTIR 8425. Security technical requirements are set according to the required security level, including a common compliance requirement for products to address minimum threats (★1 (Level 1)) and compliance requirements tailored to the characteristics of each product type (★2 (Level 2), ★3 (Level 3), ★4 (Level 4)).
The AeroBo PPK is a surveying drone that achieves stable video transmission and ease of operation by adopting a Herelink HD Transmission control terminal. The control terminal is equipped with AeroBo Station, a proprietary flight management application developed in-house for AeroBo, allowing users to create surveying-oriented flight paths and fly along them fully automatically. The ability to check camera footage during flight on the control terminal and operate the gimbal to take completion photos from any angle greatly improves convenience, making it an ideal aircraft for daily use at construction sites and other sites, from aerial photography to surveying. This aircraft has now obtained a conformity label indicating that it meets the ★1 (Level 1) conformity requirements set by JC-STAR. This is the first time this has been achieved in the drone product category. This means that users can procure the product with confidence, as they can be assured that it meets a certain level of security set by the government.
