Kyndryl Japan has tightened up its collaboration with Datadog in a way that feels kind of more close, so both sides can help enterprises deal with those increasingly tangled IT environments, especially in this AI era. Under this arrangement Datadog brings its observability, plus security capabilities, and Kyndryl adds its track record for running huge, mission critical systems, day after day.
The plan is for both teams to move in sync across Japan, covering sales, technical support, and marketing, all aligned to one shared market development strategy, without too much friction. Kyndryl will also introduce a new internal certification program to train and expand its pool of Datadog engineers.
One key focus of the partnership is dealing with operational problems that show up as more and more AI agents get used. The companies plan to roll out solutions, that can boost system visibility, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring by means of LLM observability, so organizations can run AI-driven workloads more sanely and with less chaos.

Also, as businesses keep moving deeper into cloud services plus multi-cloud environments, their IT systems end up getting difficult to keep track of. Teams are getting squeezed to spot issues early, find the underlying cause quicker, and react to shifting cybersecurity threats, while at the same time handling the kinds of risks that come with AI adoption. In this setting, better observability and operational efficiency become more important by the week.
Datadog’s Channel & Alliance Director, Akihiro Oba, said the partnership is an important step toward enabling next-generation DevSecOps for major enterprise customers, including organizations in Japan’s financial and insurance sectors. He added that combining the strengths of both companies would help customers improve operations and unlock greater business value through AI.
Kyndryl’s Head of Applications, Data & AI Business Unit, Taihei Enoki, said the company will strengthen its ability to deliver solutions built on Datadog’s observability and AI technologies, helping customers operate systems more securely while supporting DevSecOps initiatives in real-world environments.
