IonQ and South Korea-based quantum technology and software company SDT Inc. have announced a multi-year strategic partnership to expand advanced quantum computing and quantum networking capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the agreement, IonQ will supply SDT with a Superion 256 quantum computer and an IonQ silicon-vacancy (SiV) quantum memory module). The deployment is expected to bring the first Superion 256 system and the first SiV quantum memory module to South Korea.
The partnership expands an existing relationship between IonQ and SDT from cloud-based software integration into physical hardware production, system assembly, and regional resale. The Superion 256 system is planned for deployment with an SDT customer in South Korea, where the companies intend to collaborate on the development of a hybrid quantum-classical data center.
SDT also plans to establish a dedicated quantum manufacturing and system-integration facility in Gumi, South Korea. The facility is intended to support the development and integration of quantum systems in the region.
The collaboration combines IonQ’s quantum computing, networking, and quantum memory technologies with SDT’s capabilities across quantum hardware, software, and system integration. The companies will work together to support the development of quantum infrastructure and related applications in Asia-Pacific.
IonQ said the agreement reflects growing demand for its Superion 256 system and will expand the company’s commercial presence in South Korea. The company also described the combination of quantum computing, networking, and memory technologies as a foundation for future quantum data centers.

SDT offers quantum technology and system integration services across the entire quantum value chain. SDT helps build and put together quantum systems integrates them and creates quantum‑classical data centers in the Asia‑Pacific region. SDT earned the title of World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2026.
IonQ, based in College Park, Maryland makes quantum technologies that cover computing, networking, sensing and security. IonQs Superion generation is the set of quantum computing systems, from the company.
The partnership marks an expansion of IonQ and SDT’s collaboration from software-level integration toward the physical infrastructure required to deploy quantum computing and networking technologies. Through hardware deployment, system integration, and regional manufacturing capabilities, the companies plan to support the development of quantum infrastructure in South Korea and the broader Asia-Pacific market.
