LegalOn partners with Singapore Academy of Law to expand contract support

LegalOn Technologies has partnered with the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) to strengthen contract support for businesses dealing with Singapore and Singapore-based companies. Through the collaboration, 134 files, including contract templates and clause libraries licensed from SAL, will be made available through LegalOn, the company’s professional legal AI platform.

The partnership comes as companies increasingly operate across borders and face the challenge of drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts according to local laws and established contract practices. LegalOn Technologies has also been expanding its presence across the Asia Pacific region since 2026. In June, it established its fourth database in Singapore, following Japan, the United States and the EU, and began offering LegalOn services in the country.

SAL represents Singapore’s legal community and has more than 14,000 members, including judges, lawyers, corporate legal professionals and legal scholars. Its contract resources will now be integrated into LegalOn, allowing users to refer to Singapore-specific templates and clauses while using the platform’s AI capabilities.

For LegalOn users, the integration means Singapore-related contract work can be handled within the same platform. Users can access SAL’s materials while drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, reducing the need to separately gather and verify local contract information.

The collaboration also reflects a broader shift in legal technology toward combining AI with reliable, jurisdiction-specific legal content. Rather than relying only on general-purpose AI, the partnership gives legal teams access to local resources alongside AI-assisted contract workflows.

SAL Chief Executive Yeong Zee Kin said access to reliable jurisdiction-specific content is increasingly important as legal practice becomes more cross-border and AI adoption grows. The collaboration is expected to help lawyers and corporate legal teams use AI with greater confidence when handling Singapore-related contracts.
