Sakana AI, SCSK and Sumitomo Corporation have agreed to form a comprehensive business alliance focused on accelerating AI adoption across Japanese industry and addressing social challenges.
The collaboration combines the technical ability of Sakana AI (building AI models and products) with the know-how of SCSK in implementing AI and data into data processing and existing systems, security and governance, business network and reach within industries of Sumitomo Corporation, in order to take over the scattered nature of AI implementations and link it with business development of the entire value chain.
The three companies will initially focus on real-world projects in areas such as finance and manufacturing, taking AI applications from proof of concept through implementation, quality control and ongoing operations. They will also explore cybersecurity services using Sakana AI’s Japan-originated orchestration AI model.

The companies plan to use knowledge gained from these projects to develop solutions that can be applied across other customers and industries. They may also bring in additional companies with relevant technologies and expertise where required.
