LiLz Inc. has entered into a capital and business alliance with Hyakujushi Kyoso Investment Co., Ltd. to expand the deployment of IoT and AI-based remote inspection solutions across the Setouchi region. The partnership is mainly focused on heavy industries including steel, petrochemicals, chemicals, and shipbuilding, where aging infrastructure and labor shortages are becoming a growing operational problem.
A lot of industrial sites right now are stuck dealing with two things at the same time. Equipment is getting older, and at the same time experienced workers are becoming harder to replace, you know. On top of that companies are also being pushed to boost energy efficiency, to back up carbon neutrality targets as well. In areas like Setouchi, where factories and plants are scattered across those huge industrial zones, with machinery that gets pretty complex, keeping manual inspections up and running, is getting less and less feasible, in a steady way.
LiLz is trying to solve that with its fully wireless IoT cameras and AI-powered remote inspection platform. The company’s system combines battery-powered cameras with cloud-based AI analysis so inspection work can be monitored remotely without requiring major power or network installation work. The setup is designed for industrial sites where wiring and communication infrastructure are limited or difficult to install.

Its LiLz Cloud platform automates image analysis, inspection recording, reporting, and anomaly detection using AI. Services like LiLz Gauge help automate meter inspections, while LiLz Guard detects changes in equipment conditions and flags potential abnormalities early.
The company also offers different camera models for industrial environments, including explosion-proof cameras for hazardous areas and thermal imaging cameras that support temperature monitoring and energy-saving operations.
Through the alliance, LiLz plans to use Hyakujushi Bank’s regional network and industrial connections to accelerate adoption of these solutions across the Setouchi manufacturing sector.
