Stripe has announced that its digital wallet Link can now be used for payments through Muse, Meta’s new AI agent. The integration allows consumers in the United States to connect their Link accounts to Muse and have the AI agent complete purchases on their behalf.
Through the integration Muse users can use payment methods that are already saved in their Link accounts to make payments at more than 1 million online stores that accept Link. For merchants that do not accept Link Stripe can create a one-time card that is only valid for the amount the user previously approved which allows payments through Muse even in those situations.
AI agents are becoming better at doing tasks but making purchases on their own has been difficult. Regular online shopping systems are mostly built for people to use, including looking at websites checking prices and typing in payment details by hand. For AI agents to act like people in the economy they need to be able to use the internet and available payment methods just, like real customers do.
Stripe’s Link is designed to address this requirement. The digital wallet has more than 300 million users worldwide, and Stripe introduced agent-focused wallet capabilities in April 2026 that allow AI agents to complete payments on behalf of consumers. The latest integration makes those capabilities available through Meta’s Muse.
With Link already supported by more than 1 million online stores, Muse users can check out using payment information saved in their Link accounts without having to enter those details again. When a merchant does not support Link, a single-use virtual card can be generated for the amount approved in advance by the user.

The system keeps the consumer in control of the final transaction. Users approve the final purchase amount through Muse’s chat interface, while Muse is designed without direct access to underlying payment information such as credit card details. This allows consumers to delegate parts of the purchasing process to the AI agent while retaining control over payment authorization.
The integration forms part of Stripe’s broader work around agentic commerce, in which AI agents autonomously search for products, compare options, and complete purchases. Stripe is also working with Tempo on the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), an open-standard technology protocol intended to enable AI agents to make payments without human intervention.
According to Stripe, these efforts are aimed at developing financial infrastructure that enables AI agents to participate more directly in economic activity. The company said the addition of Link to Muse will make agentic commerce available to more consumers while providing a payment framework that keeps users involved in transaction approval.
