Cognizant is expanding its strategic partnership with Anthropic and has become one of the limited number of Global Premier Partners in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network.
The expanded relationship builds on the companies’ collaboration announced in the second half of 2025 and focuses on helping enterprises move beyond experimenting with AI models to deploying them in real business environments.
Cognizant says the challenge for enterprises is no longer simply access to capable AI models. Turning those capabilities into business results requires knowledge of industry processes, system integration, engineering expertise, and the ability to deploy AI at scale. The company is positioning itself as an “AI Builder” to help customers bridge that gap.
Claude deployments are already producing results
Cognizant has been using Claude across several industries, including manufacturing, life sciences, and insurance.
For a global manufacturer, the company built an AI-powered customer experience portal within six months of starting the project.
In the life sciences sector, Cognizant developed an agent-based contract intelligence system for biopharmaceutical companies. The system reduced contract review times by up to 40% and achieved more than 88% accuracy in extracting information.
For insurance companies, Cognizant developed a risk navigation tool for underwriters. Tasks that previously required several hours of manual investigation can now be completed in about a minute. The company says this translates into roughly eight hours of work saved per underwriter each week.
Cognizant is also working on additional applications in areas such as financial services and telecommunications.
Travelport turns to Claude for software modernization
The partnership is also expanding into enterprise software development. Cognizant is working with Travelport to deploy Claude across the company’s software development lifecycle.
One focus is using Claude’s large context window to analyze Travelport’s codebase and extract the business logic embedded within legacy systems. The work is intended to support modernization of how Travelport develops, tests, and maintains its travel retail and distribution platform.
For enterprises dealing with complex legacy environments, understanding the logic contained in existing code can be one of the more difficult parts of modernization. Cognizant and Travelport are using AI to automate and accelerate that process.
Claude becomes part of Cognizant’s own AI platforms
Cognizant is also integrating Claude into its own technology platforms as part of a model-agnostic approach to enterprise AI.
Claude has been incorporated into Flowsource™, Cognizant’s full-stack engineering platform, as well as Neuro® AI Engineering and Neuro® IT Ops.
Within Flowsource, Claude Code is integrated into the platform’s Spec-Driven Development module. AI agents work alongside human engineers using specifications, coding standards, and architectural requirements, with their output automatically checked against those criteria.
The goal is to make AI-assisted development more suitable for production environments rather than limiting it to isolated coding experiments.
Building a larger Claude-trained workforce
Cognizant is also expanding its investment in AI skills through its Frontier Certified Workforce model.
The company plans to train 5,000 Frontier Certified Engineers and 10,000 Frontier Business Operators, with the broader certification pipeline expected to reach 40,000 people. Claude training and certification already represent a significant part of that effort.

More than 30,000 Cognizant employees have completed Claude training so far. The company plans to eventually expand Claude certification and training across its workforce of more than 350,000 employees.
The training is particularly focused on software engineering teams, where Claude is already being used in day-to-day customer development work. Cognizant says the experience gained internally is then being incorporated into the services it provides to customers.
With the expanded partnership, Cognizant and Anthropic are looking to make Claude a more deeply integrated part of enterprise software development and business operations, with the emphasis shifting from AI experimentation toward measurable, production-scale adoption.
