They are using Microsoft Fabric, Dragon Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure to create a system that connects all the technology healthcare providers use.
This is a deal because healthcare organizations are still having a lot of trouble with data that is all over the place too much administrative work and not enough time for clinical staff to do their jobs. Doctors and nurses spend a lot of time writing down information while hospital managers have to make decisions using data from lots of places like electronic health records, operational systems and other databases. Microsoft is working on a plan to make artificial intelligence do things on its own. They want to use intelligence to help with specific tasks in the healthcare system. For example at Brown University Health they made lots of computer programs that can answer questions about hospital rules and help staff find the doctors. They also used Microsoft 365 Copilot to summarize meetings manage emails and look at contracts.

Between January and March 2026 they were able to reduce the wait time for a bed by 43 percent.
Then there is Franciscan Health, which’s an example of how Microsofts plan can help with the, behind-the-scenes work. After they moved their patient records to Microsoft Azure things started working and costing less money. If something went wrong they could also fix it quicker. The hospital saved 45 million dollars over five years. Reduced the cost of running their computers by 33 percent. Microsofts artificial intelligence strategy is really helping these hospitals, like Franciscan Health and Brown University Health to do things better.
