Ashirase Inc. has raised a total of 340 million yen in its Series A funding round through a third-party allocation of shares to Wing3G Investment Limited Partnership, Fukken Survey & Design Co., Ltd., SUMISEI INNOVATION FUND, and Iidabashi Cross Partners Inc..
Ashirase aims to create a society where everyone can move freely through its two businesses: “Ashirase,” an outdoor walking assistance device, and “IndoorFlow,” an indoor space data platform. This time, we have welcomed four new shareholders from the business, regional, and financial sectors, and will accelerate the social implementation of “IndoorFlow” in particular.

Solving social issues — the vast “data gaps” that exist in indoor spaces
We spend approximately 90% of our time indoors *. However, while the outdoors are optimized with GPS and digital maps, indoors have been a “data gap” lacking high-precision positioning information and a common spatial information infrastructure. Conventional indoor positioning methods have been hindered by the heavy costs of installing and maintaining specialized equipment, which has hindered widespread adoption.
To address this challenge, Ashirase has developed “IndoorFlow,” an indoor space data platform, based on the positioning and guidance technologies cultivated in “Ashirase,” a walking assistance system for the visually impaired that demands the highest level of precision. They are advancing the digitalization of indoor spaces at the level of social infrastructure.
