MarqVision Inc., which develops the AI-powered brand protection platform “Marq AI,” will begin offering its AI platform “Marq AI,” which automates the end-to-end detection and removal of all brand risks, including counterfeit goods, fake websites, and pirated products, as well as its AI agent “Brand Intelligence Agent,” which analyzes and responds to infringement situations in natural language, and will be fully launching its operations in Japan. The company will exhibit at the “Intellectual Property & Information Fair & Conference 2026,” held at Tokyo Big Sight from September 16th to 18th, where it will publicly demonstrate the platform.
With the proliferation of generative AI, brand infringement is becoming more sophisticated and harder to detect.

According to MarkVision’s “Brand Integrity Report 2026,” 85% of brand leaders reported that generative AI has accelerated brand infringement. Furthermore, 78% reported losing more than 5% of their annual sales due to brand infringement. Generative AI makes it easier to create and spread counterfeit goods, fake websites, and pirated products, while detecting and addressing them proactively is more difficult than ever.
Brand protection has long been a “reactive response” that relies on human intervention.
The sales channels for counterfeit goods are rapidly expanding to emerging e-commerce sites and social media platforms such as Temu, SHEIN, TikTok, Instagram, and Pinduoduo. With products increasingly being featured in videos, traditional monitoring systems that only track text and images are no longer able to keep up with detection.
On the other hand, the work of intellectual property departments mainly consists of patent searches and trademark management, and not many companies have the resources to dedicate to combating counterfeit products. MarkVision’s generation AI model monitors major e-commerce sites, social media, individual sites, and even domain names worldwide, automating everything from detecting infringing information to filing removal requests, thereby increasing response speed by up to 180 times compared to conventional methods (according to the company’s own research). However, the analysis work required to decipher “which sellers are malicious,” “which channels are increasing risk,” and “what should be done next” from the large amount of collected data has until now had to rely on manual work by employees.
