Fujifilm Business Innovation Corporation has developed an integrated maintenance support platform equipped with AI functions to improve the efficiency of the entire maintenance process, and will begin rolling it out sequentially in Japan, the Asia Pacific region, and Europe and the Americas starting in July 2026.
This platform centrally manages service manuals, machine information, diagnostic tools, and maintenance performance data on the cloud, providing customer engineers (CEs) with an environment where they can quickly access the information they need. Furthermore, by incorporating AI functions to support maintenance operations, it streamlines the entire maintenance process, from pre-visit preparation to on-site work, contributing to a reduction in downtime for customers’ multifunction printers and printers. In the trials conducted in Hong Kong and Australia, improvements in the accuracy of parts preparation and reductions in work time were observed.
In recent years, maintenance of multifunction printers and copiers has required the use of diverse information acquired through advanced sensing technologies, in addition to technical knowledge of the equipment itself, to provide higher quality services. In this context, appropriate judgment and response during maintenance work often require experience and know-how, making it increasingly important to effectively share and pass on the knowledge of skilled CEs (Customer Engineers). Furthermore, as the provision of maintenance services through distributors expands globally, it is becoming crucial to provide consistent services that do not depend on the individual skills and experience of CEs.

To address this situation, we have developed a platform that integrates the maintenance information we have accumulated to date, including service manuals, machine information, diagnostic tools, and maintenance performance data, allowing for quick and efficient access to necessary information. Previously, this maintenance information was managed and utilized in separate systems for each purpose. By integrating this information, this platform creates an environment where CEs (Customer Engineers) can centrally refer to and utilize the necessary information without having to search across multiple systems.
This platform provides an environment for centralized access to and utilization of maintenance information, as well as AI functions to support maintenance operations, assisting with parts preparation before visits and decision-making during on-site work. The platform includes two AI functions: “AI Spare Parts Recommender” and “AI Service Manual”.
