Exabeam has introduced Praxen, an open-source tool designed to verify the behavior and security readiness of AI agents before they are deployed in production environments. The tool comes from Agent Behavior Verification (ABV), a framework that kind of checks if an AI agent’s permissions configurations, tools, and actions line up with what it is supposed to do, you know, its intended role.
As AI agents go beyond helping users and start running full workflows on their own, plus reaching into enterprise systems, organizations really need stronger ways to validate what they will do before it ever goes live. Praxen spots the gaps between the expected and what actually shows up in agent capabilities, then it surfaces risk insights and some practical improvement recommendations too.

Released under the Apache 2.0 license, the tool is meant to push for more transparency, and to help set shared practices for steering autonomous AI systems.
