TikTok Shop Japan, which provides the e-commerce function “TikTok Shop” that allows users to discover and purchase products within the TikTok app, will hold “TikTok Shop Local in Okinawa” on June 20th (Sat) and 21st (Sun), 2026, in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, as the second phase of its “TikTok Shop Local” project, which delivers local specialties and products from small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. This event will be co-sponsored by the Naha City Kokusai-dori Shopping Street Promotion Association and supported by Okinawa Prefecture and Naha City.
In the first “TikTok Shop Local in Kagawa” event held in March 2026, participating sellers provided positive feedback, such as, “The majority of buyers (in this live stream) were from outside the prefecture, allowing us to widely promote our products,” and “We felt a sense of realism unique to live events and a positive response to the two-way interaction with customers.”
This second installment will take place in Okinawa Prefecture, a region that attracts many tourists from both Japan and abroad and boasts a rich food culture and traditional traditions. Through this project, we aim to contribute to sustainable regional revitalization by delivering attractive local products to the entire country.

“TikTok Shop Local in Okinawa” will collaborate with the TikTok Shop account “[Official] Naha Kokusai-dori Shopping Street [Okinawa is the Best]” operated by Ashibi Company, Ltd., I AM I Co., Ltd.’s “Shimano Department Store | Okinawa”, and IZULCA Co., Ltd.’s “47 Marche” to sell products sold at member stores in the Kokusai-dori Shopping Street, as well as Okinawan specialties, to the entire country via TikTok Shop LIVE. In the LIVE broadcasts, popular TikTok Shop creators will visit the locations, pick up Okinawan food products, specialties, and the charm of the region one by one, and introduce them to viewers nationwide in real time. The LIVE broadcasts will be held in Naha City as well as from places where the products are made, such as the Uminmichi Sea Grape Farm.
In addition, prior to TikTok Shop LIVE, a kickoff event for “TikTok Shop Local in Okinawa” will be held at UFURUFU (Palette Kumoji Front Traffic Plaza) on Saturday, June 20th from 2 PM. This event is being held to give momentum to the launch of “TikTok Shop Local in Okinawa,” the second phase of the “TikTok Shop Local” project. In addition to introducing the “TikTok Shop Local” project, the event will showcase the appeal of Okinawa’s specialty products from various perspectives through cross-talk by creators. Popular creator Akitonton and former announcer Ayaka Oya will appear as MCs to liven up this project. They will engage in a talk with TikTok Shop creators Ayannu, Hige Channel (Hige Shokudo), Sena, and Ino, who will be conducting the LIVE broadcast.
