Tamaplaza Terrace and Minato Mirai Tokyu Square have started using ‘Lost and Found Cloud find,’ an AI service for lost items. The system commenced working on April 1, 2026. Tokyu Malls will extend the service to those areas-like Kohoku, Aobadai, Musashi Kosugi, and Gotanda-on the system too from May onwards.
Before this period staff member managed approximately 1000 lost items every month. They used handwritten lists and answered questions by phone or at the counter. Checking each item took a lot of time and slowed things down. The new system lets users upload pictures of lost items. The AI can match items to inquiries much faster.
The system provides a chat function that supports communication in four languages which are Japanese English Simplified Chinese and Korean. The system operates without requiring any application installation. You just verify your email and start chatting in the browser. This makes it easier for anyone, including visitors, to report or find lost items.

Tokyu Malls hopes this will make operations smoother for staff. It also improves the chances of returning items. The system handles communication, works with authorities if needed, and reduces the time staff spend tracking things. This is part of a trend where busy public spaces use AI to make everyday services work better.
