HashPort is rebranding its NFT marketplace, PLT Place, as HashPort Market | αU, with the updated platform set to launch on August 18, 2026. The move also includes the transfer of creators and NFT collections from KDDI’s αU market, bringing both ecosystems together under one marketplace.

The biggest change is support for stablecoin payments through JPYC, alongside existing credit card payments. The platform also adds Polygon blockchain support, secondary NFT trading between users, and gasless transactions that reduce the usual blockchain fees for buyers and sellers. The update reflects a broader shift in Japan’s Web3 market, where companies are working to make NFT trading simpler and more accessible by combining familiar payment methods with blockchain infrastructure.
