Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation have decided to form a joint venture company called Advanced Vision Solutions Co., Ltd., that will create AI-based vision sensor solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. The company will use the knowledge of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation about factory automation and industrial control systems as well as the technology of Sony Semiconductor Solutions about advanced image sensors and edge AI. The planned start of the operations of Advanced Vision Solutions Co., Ltd. is October 2026.
