NTT-ME Corporation will begin offering “Japan Premium Direct Connect All-Photonics Connect powered by IOWN,” a high-quality, low-latency connection between data centers, from Friday, January 30, 2026, in order to meet the diverse needs of the AI and cloud era.
This service will realize a high-quality, low-latency network by incorporating the All-Photonics Network (hereinafter referred to as APN) technology of the IOWN concept promoted by the NTT Group.
We will initially provide this service between data centers within Tokyo, and in the future we are considering expanding it to longer distances, such as between Tokyo and data center clusters, in order to further improve convenience for our customers.

With the rapid spread of AI and cloud computing in recent years, the volume of communication between data centers is expected to double over the next five years. As needs diversify, there is a growing need for faster, broader bandwidth services and shorter delivery times, which are difficult to meet with the network services that have been provided as the main solution between data centers until now.
In light of these market trends, NTT-ME has leveraged its accumulated communications infrastructure and engineering capabilities to provide a more flexible, high-value-added next-generation network service called “JPDC All-Photonics Connect.”
