Anduril and Aster have put their signatures on an MoU that basically says both sides want to figure out how to build Anduril’s tech inside Japan. Nothing flashy. Just a clear signal that they want to take the conversation from interest to actual work.
Anduril brings the full stack of next gen defense tech to the table. Think AI driven systems, autonomous platforms, robotics, advanced sensing, and secure networks. They already work with major defense bodies in the US, UK, and Australia. Aster comes from a different lane but with deep roots. They have spent years building industrial equipment parts in Japan with a focus on motors. Their real edge sits in the ground level production network they have built and the quality control muscle they have refined.
This MoU sets the two companies up to explore a few practical tracks. Assembling and manufacturing Anduril products inside Japan is one. Locking in a reliable supply of rare earth magnets is another. They are also looking at whether Aster’s motors can slot into Anduril’s systems.

If things move the way they intend, both companies want to build a predictable Japan based supply setup that leans on the country’s industrial base and tightens the global defense supply chain.
