Technor Co., Ltd. has entered into a distribution agreement with OVERE Corp. to bring Microsoft 365 security operation services to the Japanese market. The partnership focuses on helping organizations continuously manage, monitor, and improve the security of their Microsoft 365 environments rather than simply deploying new security tools.
The collaboration introduces what the companies describe as a “Microsoft 365 Security Operation” approach. Instead of adding more security products, the service is designed to continuously audit Microsoft 365 security settings, identify risks, implement improvements, and maintain a secure operating environment over time.
Microsoft 365 has become a core business platform for services including email, identity management, file sharing, collaboration, and device management. As cyber threats continue to evolve, organizations increasingly face risks caused by day-to-day operational issues such as missing multi-factor authentication (MFA), excessive administrator privileges, poorly configured Conditional Access policies, and insecure sharing settings.
While Microsoft 365 includes a broad range of built-in security capabilities, the companies said enabling those features alone is not enough. They believe businesses now need an operational framework that continuously reviews configurations, detects security gaps, and maintains protection as environments change.
Under the partnership, Technor will combine its experience in ICT infrastructure deployment and managed security services with OVERE’s Microsoft 365 security operations platform. The goal is to help organizations make better use of the security capabilities already included in Microsoft 365 while maintaining them through continuous monitoring and management.
OVERE describes its approach as “Microsoft 365 Operational Security,” a model centered on ongoing security operations rather than additional software deployments. The platform continuously audits Microsoft 365 configurations, tracks security-related changes, identifies operational risks, and supports remediation when issues are detected. The companies aim to establish this operating model as a practical standard for Microsoft 365 security management in Japan.
The joint service portfolio will include Microsoft 365 security assessments, visibility into operational risks beyond Microsoft Secure Score, Microsoft Entra ID management support, Conditional Access policy management, continuous administrator privilege auditing, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive sharing risk management, policy deviation detection, alert notifications, automated remediation, and multi-tenant management capabilities for managed service providers (MSPs).

Tokuyuki Akasaka, President and CEO of Technor, said the company has long supported customers through managed security services covering networks, endpoints, and cloud environments. As cloud adoption becomes standard, he noted that organizations increasingly need services that maintain secure environments over time rather than simply deploying security products. He said the partnership with OVERE will help deliver managed Microsoft 365 security services that support both cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives.
Paul Barnes, Founder and CEO of OVERE, said Technor’s operational capabilities and experience supporting large customer environments influenced OVERE’s approach to building a platform that is simple, scalable, and easy for managed service providers to operate. He added that both companies share the view that the future of Microsoft 365 security lies in continuous operational management rather than expanding the number of security products deployed.
Looking ahead, Technor and OVERE plan to expand their collaboration through Microsoft 365 security assessments, joint seminars, and training programs for sales partners. The companies also intend to strengthen partnerships with managed service providers and channel partners across Japan to encourage wider adoption of continuous Microsoft 365 security operations, helping organizations shift from a deployment-focused mindset to one centered on maintaining long-term security.
