Yamory, a vulnerability management cloud service operated by Assured Inc., has begun offering new features that enable application developers to take the lead in managing runtime EOL (End of Life).
This will streamline the risk management of runtime support expiration, which previously required a large amount of coordination between departments, and help improve the efficiency of security measures. A patent is currently pending for this function.
Release Background: Issues with cross-departmental runtime version and EOL management
EOL (End of Life) and EOS (End of Support) are very important indicators for determining whether a product will be supported or not, and whether security updates will be provided. Since runtimes that have reached the end of their support period will no longer be provided with countermeasures against new vulnerabilities, comprehensive management is essential for service providers.

However, it is difficult to design a system that comprehensively manages this runtime EOL information, and this tends to impose a high operational burden on many companies.
Yamory has previously achieved runtime EOL detection through host scanning, but because hosts (infrastructure) and applications are managed by different departments, designing and implementing EOL management tasks created a burden in terms of communication and collaboration between departments.
Yamory developed this feature to eliminate this burden and simplify the security management process.
