Rapyuta Robotics Co., Ltd., a provider of robotics solutions for logistics, has commenced operations of its flexible automated warehouse “Rapyuta ASRS” at two logistics bases operated by Nippon Express Co., Ltd. , a group company of Nippon Express Holdings Co., Ltd.
At each of Nippon Express’s logistics hubs, there was a need to improve storage efficiency, address labor shortages, and build a flexible logistics system that could adapt to future changes in the business environment.
Conventional automated warehouses are often fixed facilities, making it difficult to change the layout or relocate them after installation. Therefore, in this initiative, the key theme was not merely labor saving and efficiency, but the realization of “logistics that can adapt to future changes.”
