NetApp G.K., an intelligent data infrastructure company, announced a strategic collaboration with Supermicro, a developer and manufacturer of servers and data center equipment for AI and cloud. Together, the two companies will deliver jointly validated AI infrastructure solutions for a wide range of scales and applications, including large-scale AI factories, enterprise environments, neocloud, and sovereign AI projects. By combining Supermicro’s AI-optimized computing and rack-scale systems with the NetApp Platform, they will accelerate the deployment of customers’ AI environments, while helping them improve GPU utilization efficiency, strengthen data governance, and reduce operational complexity.
Through this collaboration, NetApp and Supermicro will go beyond high-performance storage to provide a full-stack infrastructure foundation to support AI. It will combine Supermicro’s rack-scale computing, networking, power, and liquid cooling technologies with the strengths of the NetApp Platform: integrated data management, cyber resilience, hybrid cloud, and disaggregated scale.
This enables consistent data operations from enterprise environments to the world’s largest AI factories. Customers can leverage an architecture that is not only quick to deploy but also flexible enough to accommodate migration to next-generation computing equipment. Furthermore, because the computing and data infrastructures are tested and validated as a single system, design and integration time is reduced, deployment risks are minimized, and AI environments can be brought into production quickly.
