Cognizant has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Astreya, an AI focused IT managed services provider based in California. Financial details were not disclosed.
Astreya has been around since 2001 and operates across more than 35 countries. The company is heavily involved in hyperscale infrastructure environments and works with major hyperscalers on long term managed services. Its work includes AI infrastructure management, enterprise networking, workplace systems, and large scale data center operations.
Through the acquisition, Cognizant wants to strengthen its AI infrastructure and managed services business as enterprise demand around AI deployment keeps growing. The plan is to combine Astreya’s AI OpsHub platform, automation systems, and operational expertise with Cognizant’s own AI Builder strategy and hybrid AI infrastructure offerings.
