Salesforce has unveiled AIforce, an interface layer that makes Salesforce data, workflows, business rules, permissions, security and governance available through AI interfaces beyond the usual CRM application. The announcement was made at Dreamforce 2026 on September 15.
AIforce lets employees and AI agents interact with Salesforce via platforms such as Claude, Slack and Salesforce Lightning. Users can ask questions, update records, trigger workflows and access business information using natural‑language interactions of moving through conventional dashboards and menus.
The launch includes Claudeforce, Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker. Claudeforce for example brings prebuilt Salesforce sales capabilities into Claude while keeping Salesforce’s existing permissions and governance controls. Salesforce says requests remain subject to the access rights already established within its platform.

AIforce reflects a shift in enterprise software, toward agentic interface‑independent computing. Of requiring employees to work inside individual business applications, enterprise data and workflows can increasingly be accessed from the AI tools employees already use. For businesses the approach could change how CRM systems are integrated into workflows while placing greater emphasis on data governance, security and reliable AI‑driven actions.
