Givery has launched Box-Copilot Connect, a solution that lets companies search and use documents stored in Box through Microsoft Copilot while keeping existing access permissions in place.
The solution is being offered through Givery Consulting as a development service tailored to each company’s Box and Microsoft 365 environment. It is aimed at businesses that need tighter control over internal information, particularly in industries with strict security and compliance requirements.
Box-Copilot Connect keeps the document search index within the company’s own Microsoft Azure environment. When a user asks a question through Copilot, the system checks the latest Box permissions and only returns information the user is allowed to access. Changes to document access rights are reflected in real time.

Companies can also customize the search process, including embedding, chunking, hybrid search and result ranking, to improve accuracy for specific industries and use cases. Updates and newly added Box documents can also be reflected quickly.
The service is designed to complement Microsoft’s standard Box connector rather than replace it. Givery will support customers from requirements definition and system design through development and deployment, with smaller proof-of-concept projects available before wider rollout.
