Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. and BIPROGY Inc. have developed a tool (patent pending) that makes it easy to build avatars equipped with AI agent functionality without using any coding.
Previously, AI agents and their avatars were created separately and then integrated. With this tool, you can easily create avatars equipped with AI agent functions without programming, simply by connecting the generation AI, inputting knowledge data, and selecting an avatar. Users can easily create and immediately deploy AI agents without having to outsource to personnel or companies with specialized knowledge, which reduces production time and improves work efficiency. The introduction of this tool is expected to enable a wide range of uses, such as customer service and Q&A using AI agents on websites, in-store digital signage, and in the metaverse.
Furthermore, from March 11, 2025, a demonstration experiment using an avatar equipped with an AI agent function built using this tool will be conducted at the “Metaverse Government Office” promoted by DNP.
In recent years, the use of generative AI has become more widespread, and there is a growing need to introduce AI agents capable of human-like conversation in a wide range of fields, such as customer service in stores, product and service education, consultation at government offices, tourist guidance, etc. However, there are issues with the high burden of requiring specialized knowledge such as programming to build and operate AI agents, as well as the regular learning of knowledge data, management of conversation records, and the creation of avatars.
To address these issues, DNP and BIPROGY have developed a tool that supports the creation, learning, management and distribution of AI agents without coding. In this development, DNP provided the tool design and data formatting technology that improves the accuracy of the generative AI’s responses, while BIPROGY was responsible for the overall development, adopting the latest SaaS (Software as a Service) application development technology.
