Zoom has introduced ZoomMate, its first AI teammate and sort of agent-based business platform, built to turn workplace conversations into actual completed actions. It’s tied to the company’s ‘System of Action’ idea, and basically the platform brings together meeting context, enterprise data, workflow automation, and AI-generated content all in one place, which sounds simple but, you know, it’s doing a lot.
ZoomMate can search across connected business systems, pull information, update records, and even set up follow-up tasks. It can also draft documents, reports, presentations, and project plans right from the conversation itself. The launch is showing that the industry shift is still happening, moving away from AI tools that just summarize work and toward AI agents that can do the work.

Zoom says this platform helps cut down on manual effort, improve workflow continuity, and keep teams more aligned across different systems at once.
