NetAssist has launched the SAKURA Municipal Bidding Support Cloud Pack, a cloud infrastructure package aimed at companies bidding for local government website and CMS projects. Built on Sakura Cloud, a domestically developed cloud platform certified by Japan’s Digital Agency and registered with ISMAP, the service is designed to address growing security and compliance requirements in public sector IT projects.
The package provides fairly predictable pricing by removing data transfer based charges, so vendors can make more clear budgets while they are bidding, and it feels less chaotic overall. It also comes with built in safety tools like WAF, IDS/IPS, antivirus protection, monitoring, and incident response support, in order to comply with government cybersecurity guidelines.

The launch seems tied to rising demand for compliant locally hosted cloud infrastructure, especially as governments tighten their security requirements and organizations want more cost certainty, not just estimates.
