Now, SoVeC will begin offering “XR CHANNEL Web Edition,” a web-based AR solution that does not require an application, utilizing Sony Corporation’s VPS technology, similar to “XR CHANNEL.”
In recent years, web-based augmented reality (AR) has been gaining attention due to advancements in browser technology and device performance.
On the other hand, there were challenges in achieving highly accurate positioning, which often limited the effects to simpler designs, and made it difficult to create XR representations that were strongly linked to the real world.

SoVeC has leveraged the high-precision location recognition technology cultivated through its “XR CHANNEL” app to extend it to the web, enabling a web-based XR experience where real space and digital content interact and collaborate in a spatial environment.
SoVeC will provide an environment where users can more easily enjoy XR experiences utilizing VPS technology through “XR CHANNEL Web Edition.” In addition, the app version of “XR CHANNEL” will continue to provide high-quality XR experiences unique to mobile apps.
