ERI and India-based e-waste management company Ecoreco have announced a strategic partnership to launch ‘ERI India,’ a jointly owned venture focused on e-waste recycling and IT asset disposition services.
The partnership brings together ERI’s experience in electronics recycling, data destruction, IT asset processing and circular economy solutions with Ecoreco’s local infrastructure, market knowledge and regional networks. The companies aim to apply practices from both organizations to build a broader e-waste management operation in India.
ERI operates eight locations across the United States and provides services covering data destruction, shredding of end-of-life IT equipment, remarketing, recycling, logistics and regulatory compliance. Its systems also use proprietary software to track IT assets and technologies such as AI image recognition and robotic arms to sort shredded materials.
ERI says it has recycled more than 3 billion pounds of e-waste in the United States and has audited recycling and ITAD partners across more than 140 countries.

The new venture also marks a significant step for ERI in India. While the company has previously worked with audited partners in the country, ERI India will be its first owned and ERI-branded location there.
The partnership was announced during the Material Recycling Association of India International Business Summit in Tokyo, with representatives from the U.S., Japanese and Indian governments and recycling industry also participating.
ERI India is expected to begin operations later in 2026.
