Air Mobility Co., Ltd. has signed basic agreements with Sky-Drones Technologies Ltd , a UK-based drone manufacturer, regarding cooperation in the sale of products in the Japanese market and manufacturing in Japan (EMS: Electronic Manufacturing Services).
Drones are increasingly being used in a wide range of fields, including logistics, infrastructure inspection, surveying, disaster response, security, and disaster prevention, and their importance in the field of national security is also rapidly growing.
In the Ministry of Defense’s budget request for fiscal year 2027, a policy of minimizing human casualties by making full use of unmanned assets is outlined, and based on the idea that “productivity is deterrence,” the construction of a defense production and technology base that supports sustainable response capabilities is positioned as an urgent issue. In addition, strengthening the domestic production base is listed as a major project, and the promotion of strengthening the supply chain is indicated in the strengthening of the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency’s structure.

Air Mobility Inc. is engaged in the import and sales business of drones manufactured overseas, but in order to strengthen its domestic production base as mentioned above, it has been considering manufacturing and supplying advanced drones from overseas manufacturers domestically. Sky-Drones Inc. develops a variety of drones and provides them to customers around the world, including those in the defense sector. The company has also shown a strong interest in the Japanese market and Japanese production technology, and since the two companies’ views are aligned, a basic agreement has now been reached.
