Mercuria Investment and Ireland-based Airborne Capital have completed the first aircraft deliveries for Mach OE, an open-ended aircraft fund launched in April 2026. The fund received two new Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft on July 29 and 30, which have been placed on long-term leases with United Airlines. The aircraft form the initial seed portfolio, with further acquisitions planned in the coming months. Development Bank of Japan joined as an anchor investor, while Daiwa Securities Group companies are supporting the fund’s operations and investor expansion. Mach OE is described as the first open-ended aircraft fund offered by a Japanese asset manager. It targets institutional investors and aims to build an investment asset base of about ¥150 billion.
