Hitachi Solutions West Japan, Ltd. will begin offering a “file sharing service” on July 10, 2026, which centralizes the exchange of documents in guarantee entrustment operations between financial institutions and guarantee companies on the cloud, thereby improving operational efficiency and achieving a paperless environment.
In guarantee outsourcing transactions between financial institutions and guarantee companies, documents are exchanged using multiple methods such as fax, mail, and email attachments, leading to operational inefficiencies and increased management burdens. In addition, there is a need to address information security risks such as misdelivery and loss.
While typical file-sharing services primarily focus on sharing files individually, this service manages documents and progress on a project-by-project basis. By centralizing document exchange—which was previously scattered across multiple methods such as fax, mail, and email attachments—on the cloud, it enables project-based management and progress visualization, contributing to improved work efficiency and reduced management burden.

Furthermore, the Web API provided by this service makes it possible to reduce manual tasks associated with guarantee screening, such as file sharing from the loan screening system to this service, and importing documents shared from the guarantee screening system to this service.
background
In the financial industry, strengthening competitiveness through digital transformation is an urgent necessity. However, in document exchange operations with business partners such as credit guarantee companies, it is difficult to develop a digital infrastructure that can be applied to both sides’ workflows, and the reality is that digitalization has not progressed sufficiently.
As a result, many business processes that require the exchange of documents still rely on paper-based methods such as fax and postal mail. This has hindered cost reductions in areas such as communication expenses and consumables, and has also led to information security risks such as misdirected faxes, lost documents, and overlooked emails, as well as increased burdens on staff and managers responsible for organizing and storing documents.
Through this service, Hitachi Solutions West Japan will address these challenges, improve operational procedures for document exchange between financial institutions and companies, and support increased operational efficiency, reduced response times, and lessened burden of document management.
