Keeper Security has integrated a new AI component in its browser extension for protecting against fake login pages to tell users when they are about to enter their details on a fake site. The feature’s ML model, which executes locally on the user’s device, assesses the location for signs of malicious phishing activity, such as domain spoofing.

The launch comes as hackers are increasingly deploying generative AI to flood the web with fake websites designed to evade common security filters. ‘Account takeovers are reported in almost 40 percent of all data breaches involving stolen credentials,’ said the company in a statement. The feature will be switched off initially, but can be enabled by users and deployed via the Keeper management console.
