Arcoiris LLC , with the full support of Okinawa Prefecture through the Okinawa IT Innovation Strategy Center (ISCO), will conduct the second proof-of-concept experiment for the blockchain regional currency “Yaeyama Token (YAE)” from November 1st to December 31st, 2026. In conjunction with this, they are also seeking to expand their recruitment of participating merchants and monitors.
This is a local currency that utilizes blockchain technology and can be used in the Ishigaki Island and Yaeyama regions. Like other companies’ QR code payment services, its main feature is that payments can be easily made by simply scanning the QR code at the store with your smartphone.

In addition to payment functionality, the system also comes standard with stamp card and point card features.
