Shinichi Miyata has taken on a new position as Head of Design & Innovation Division, CEO Office at Fujitsu, adding a new leadership responsibility to his career within the technology company.
Miyata has held several senior positions at Fujitsu. His previous responsibilities included leading Sustainable Manufacturing and Digital Shift within Fujitsu Uvance, followed by a role focused on global retail go-to-market and solution strategy. His experience spans technology strategy, industry solutions, digital transformation and business development.
In his new role, Miyata will be positioned within Fujitsu’s CEO Office, with responsibility for the Design & Innovation Division. The appointment comes as design increasingly becomes part of broader business transformation rather than being limited to product or user-interface development.
Fujitsu’s design organization works across areas including design thinking, service design, UX/UI, product design and new business creation. The company has also highlighted the use of design alongside data, AI and emerging technologies to address complex business and social challenges.

Miyata’s move also reflects the broader evolution of Fujitsu’s business toward transformation-led services. With organizations increasingly looking beyond technology implementation toward new business models and human-centered experiences, design and innovation are becoming important components of enterprise technology strategy.
His appointment marks another step in Miyata’s Fujitsu career and brings his experience across industry strategy and digital transformation into a role focused on design and innovation at the corporate level.
