Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. has provided its point management system “PointInfinity” as the foundation for the “Higin Point Service” offered by Higo Bank, Ltd. , which provides a variety of community-based financial services in Kumamoto Prefecture . In approximately four months since the service’s release, the number of members has expanded to 230,000.
At Higo Bank, the challenges of differentiating services to acquire and retain individual customers arose from the declining number of young people due to the low birthrate and aging population, the rise of online banks, and fierce competition for deposits. Therefore, with the aim of strengthening customer contact through everyday financial transactions, they revamped their services to increase engagement. In addition to the existing rank-based benefits determined by transaction status, the new service allows users to exchange Higin Coins, which are awarded based on account transactions and other activities, for regional points or common points. Users can connect with local services through their daily transactions, and Higo Bank is promoting the revitalization of the local economy through Higin Coins.
“PointInfinity” offers unified management of Higin Coins and the ranking system, as well as flexible support for adding new exchange options and expanding campaigns. Moving forward, we will support the sustainable growth of companies based on digital transformation through the use of AI.

Higo Bank operates under the belief that “the future of a region depends on the type of bank it has,” and provides a diverse range of community-oriented financial services. It aims to be a hub connecting local people and businesses, and to create opportunities for the younger generation who will shape the future to thrive. In March 2024, it launched the “Higo Bank App,” and has since begun handling the regional payment app “Kumamon! Pay,” working to improve customer convenience and revitalize the local economy.
As part of these efforts, we have completely revamped our existing service, “Wakuwaku Club®”. Previously, we offered benefits such as progressively lower interest rates and fees depending on the transaction content, but we have now introduced a new system that allows customers to accumulate Higin Coins and exchange them for regional points, common points, and special incentives in collaboration with local companies and organizations. This aims to promote the consumption cycle within the region and strengthen the value returned to our customers.
In selecting the platform for its new service, Higo Bank comprehensively evaluated factors such as functionality, cost, schedule, track record, security, and development capabilities. They chose “PointInfinity” due to its extensive functionality, proven track record, and scalability, as well as Hitachi Solutions’ proven proposal capabilities, flexibility in dealing with multiple stakeholders, and high level of expertise in points.
