Open has partnered up with LERIRO to aid small businesses and firms to cope with staff shortages and will be introducing new practices starting off in Fukuoka then further expanding throughout the greater Kyushu region. Using the synergy between AI and local knowledge it aims to provide and support firms to increase their production, utilize modern digital technology and reduce time spent on mundane activities.
In the region, many businesses are having trouble with hiring. It is not just about finding more workers. They also need people who can work with IT and AI to run day to day operations more smoothly. Open says this often leaves companies interested in AI but unsure where to start, while day-to-day work leaves little room for new initiatives.
The companies aim to build a support model where AI handles routine tasks and data processing, while local workers take care of judgment, operations and improvement proposals based on each company’s needs.

LERIRO operates the community-based rugby club LeRIRO Fukuoka and works with local companies and municipalities on community development and human resources. Through the partnership, its regional network will be combined with Open’s AI, automation and business improvement expertise.
The two companies plan to identify local business challenges and test the AI and local talent model. Open also aims to support back-office efficiency, DX and AI adoption while contributing to sustainable business growth and regional economic development.
