I-Movic, developer of the AI bear detection system Kumamiru AI, and Core-Support have formed a business alliance with safety equipment provider Sendai Meiban to expand bear countermeasures across Japan.
The partnership tackles two persistent problems that emerge after a bear is detected. The first is the delay in warning nearby residents, workers, or visitors. The second is the lack of local expertise and support needed to deploy response systems, particularly in rural areas where incidents are often concentrated.
The collaboration combines Kumamiru AI’s detection capabilities with Sendai Meiban’s RemOpe remote control system, allowing warning lights and electronic signboards to activate automatically the moment a bear is identified. The goal is simple. Shorten the gap between detection and action to seconds instead of minutes.

Sendai Meiban’s nationwide sales and support network will also help local governments, agricultural groups, and businesses deploy and operate these systems without relying on scarce specialist resources.
As bear sightings continue to spread beyond mountain regions and into residential and agricultural areas, wildlife response is increasingly becoming an infrastructure challenge rather than just an environmental one.
