Nexty Electronics Corporation, an electronics trading company of the Toyota Tsusho Group, is supporting the introduction of software that predicts battery status, degradation, and lifespan, provided by Eatron Technologies Ltd, to automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in Japan.
Background
In the automotive industry, the use of batteries is increasing with the advancement of electrification, and there is a growing need for technologies that can accurately understand the condition and degradation of batteries in order to properly manage their safety, performance, and lifespan.
On the other hand, it is difficult to directly understand the internal state of a battery, and its condition must be estimated from limited data. Furthermore, its behavior changes depending on the usage environment and degradation status, making it difficult to accurately understand its actual state.

eTron’s Solutions
eTRON provides software that uses AI to visualize battery status and predict future degradation and lifespan. This software maximizes the performance, efficiency, lifespan, and safety of lithium-ion batteries. In addition to existing battery management systems (BMS) and physical models, it also works with customers’ proprietary software and algorithms to analyze battery charge status and degradation in real time.
This supports the advancement of existing systems and contributes to improved battery safety, performance optimization, and life extension.
Implementation support
Leveraging the network we have built through our automotive semiconductor business and our technical expertise in software and battery technologies, we are supporting the implementation of etron’s software. Through our services, domestic automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers are already considering implementation, and multiple evaluation projects are underway.
Through this initiative, our company will support the domestic introduction of advanced software technologies from overseas and contribute to solving our customers’ challenges.
