TSUNAGI, Yamanashi prefecture Hokuto City, launched software that can transfer documents such as maintenance reports and operational know-how written in Excel into IBM Maximo, which is a calculation tool using AI. Released October 1, 2026.
It solves a familiar problem for maintenance teams, where important site knowledge is stored in Excel files, and must be uploaded into existing enterprise asset management systems. MX Stage takes care of significant steps of the migration process to enable organizations to migrate their records into Maximo.
MX Stage uses a built-in capability called Skill to guide AI through document structure recognition, data mapping and conversion code generation. The converted information is then presented in a grid interface designed specifically for data migration. Users review the results before the data is entered into Maximo, keeping human verification as part of the process.

The system has also been designed with AI’s rapidly changing environment and security requirements in mind. Organizations can deploy MX Stage within an AI environment approved by their own company, according to TSUNAGI.
The company will offer MX Stage licenses to partners involved in Maximo implementation. In addition, it will provide implementation and support of skills customization advice and information for subsequent updates and maintenance.
With MX Stage TSUNAGI hopes to help implementation partners facilitate bringing current maintenance data into Maximo, while preserving human points of control during the migration.
