UiPath just dropped a set of agent-based AI solutions for retail and manufacturing. The problem they are chasing is not new. Data is everywhere, systems do not talk properly, and teams end up stitching things together manually. That slows down decisions around pricing, inventory, and what to actually sell.
UiPath establishes a central data repository which enables AI agents to operate. The retail industry uses these capabilities to manage both merchandising activities and promotional events. The system analyzes historical sales data together with current demand patterns and available stock to provide teams with product recommendations and pricing strategies and discount effectiveness timings. It also handles campaign execution, so teams are not jumping between tools.
On the manufacturing side, pricing and inventory are the focus. Pricing decisions move faster because the system reacts to market changes instead of waiting on manual analysis. Inventory gets full visibility across locations, with early signals for stock issues and automated replenishment kicking in.

Step back and this is where things are heading. Companies are tired of dashboards that just sit there. They want systems that actually do something. UiPath is leaning into that shift hard.
