Aquabit Spirals Co., Ltd. has launched “Smart Plate Cloud,” a SaaS-type platform that enables centralized management of NFC tags on the cloud.
Our company has been providing “SmartPlate,” an information distribution device that utilizes NFC tags. SmartPlate is an NFC tag-type information distribution device that allows users to directly launch web content, apps, payment pages, and more simply by holding a smartphone over it. It is being used in a wide range of fields, including commercial facilities, tourist destinations, transportation, and local government initiatives.
Until now, management tools for smart plates have mainly been provided for individual projects, but with the spread of NFC use, there has been a growing need for a “management platform that anyone can easily operate.”

Furthermore, with conventional NFC operations, changing the destination URL requires physically rewriting the tag using a dedicated writer app. Updating NFC tags installed at multiple locations necessitates on-site work, resulting in time and costly changes each time a policy is implemented.
Therefore, we have revamped our existing Smart Plate operating platform as a SaaS and launched “Smart Plate Cloud” as a cloud service that anyone can use.
