HCLTech has introduced VisionX 2.0, an updated version of its multimodal AI edge platform built for industrial environments. The platform is developed in collaboration with NVIDIA and focuses on bringing real time intelligence closer to where operations actually happen.
VisionX 2.0 builds on HCLTech’s Intelligent Secure Edge setup and brings together computer vision, visual language models, multimodal data processing, and generative AI. The system runs on NVIDIA’s physical AI computing stack which includes tools such as NVIDIA DeepStream and NVIDIA TAO to process and train vision models.
The platform operates in situations where local data processing must occur instead of sending data to cloud services. The system can execute AI tasks at the edge through the use of NVIDIA Jetson and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell hardware. The solution decreases bandwidth requirements while maintaining all critical operational information within the building.

VisionX 2.0 enables users to integrate multiple data streams which include video footage and audio recordings as well as LiDAR data and stereo camera visuals and IoT sensor information to identify safety hazards and operational irregularities and potential risks. The system contains a validation component which assesses computer vision notifications to eliminate incorrect alerts before making final judgments.
The platform implements zero trust security architecture while allowing users to connect their present camera systems and video management software and industrial sensors. The objective of the project is to assist companies in implementing AI technology throughout their manufacturing facilities and industrial locations without requiring them to construct new operational systems.
