Avacus, developed by SOWAKA PTE. LTD., has entered a strategic business partnership with GLOBAL NETWORK JAPAN Co., Ltd. to build a points economy and payment platform linked to telecom infrastructure in India. The rollout will begin with the user base of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, which serves roughly 150 million subscribers across urban and rural regions.
The structure is simple in theory. Use daily connectivity as the entry point. Let users earn points through Wi Fi usage and data payments. Convert that into a wallet based digital payment experience. No heavy Web3 learning curve. The blockchain layer stays in the background.
The partnership will integrate public Wi Fi expansion under BharatAirFi, a GNJ WALLET designed for small value transactions with a gasless model, and a unified platform called GNJ.OS to manage communications, points, and payments together. Avacus will handle wallet architecture, payment logic, and point integration.

Stablecoin support is also being considered, including ARC backed by reserve assets and JPYC, with phased implementation based on regulatory conditions.
The roadmap targets wallet launch and ARC implementation in Q1 2026, followed by plans for 1,000 Wi Fi villages across 10 major states by Q3 2026. The larger ambition is clear. Start with telecom usage. Build a financial layer on top. Then replicate the model in other markets.
